Covid-19 Food Relief
The need: Most governments have implemented measures to reduce human-to-human transmission and spread of Covid-19 virus. Many people who were already living in poverty, dealing with health problems and the elderly have been adversely affected by these social distancing measures. Unfortunately, government social safety programs and economic stimulus measures are non-existent or inadequate in many of these countries.
Appeal: ASOFI is working with local organizations such as, Food Banks, Faith organizations, Women Groups and others of good faith in its campaign to provide food relief to millions who have lost their sole source of income due to lock-down measures implemented by their governments to curb the spread of the deadly Coronavirus pandemic. The elderly, single mothers and orphans are in need of your help right now.
Process: ASOFI is utilizing its grassroots network of volunteers, mobile phone technologies to identify, validate and distribute food supplies and other resources to the affected populations.
